Equipment
Our print work is farmed out to a selection of trade printers who can
offer the best price. Typically their equipment is state of the art. Pre-press
workflow is handled by a DPX computer-to-plate system from Eskofot. Perfect
register every time is guaranteed by CTP technology that makes a clean,
first generation dot directly onto the plate. Powered by the 'Harlequin'
RIP, the DPX system can supply high quality digital pre-press proofs.
Four colour process is handled by a RYOBI 524HXX printing press. This
press has many state-of-the-art advanced features in automated colour
printing, making it a truly 'intelligent' printing system. Even before
the press starts up it is initialised with a comprehensive profile of
each print job.
In the finishing section the bindery work is handled by a Horizon Vac-Turbo
Power Colator with SPF-20/FC-20 on-line booklet maker. Capable of producing
up to 4,000 booklets an hour this system ensures an efficient and perfect
compliment to the print process.
