Proofing, Files and Media
A .pdf proof will be emailed to you prior to print run. We recommend
clients supply a colour sample or previously printed sample with their
artwork if colour matching is critical. If this is not possible and you
require a pre-press proof other than a.pdf proof, there is an additional
charge of £25 per proof. Bear in mind this process will add time
to the production schedule.
Proofs are output on a high quality Epson5000 colour proofer via a 'best'
rip. While we cannot guarantee the proof will always match the printed
job perfectly, every attempt is made to match the printed sheet as close
as possible.
If fine art print work is required then please contact us to discuss an
alternative method based on either a Matchprint or Chromalin contact sheet.
Files and Media
Artwork can be supplied via email, on CDROM, DVD or USB Pen or USB External
Disk. We can accept the following in PC format only Macromedia Freehand;
Jasc Paintshop Pro; Adobe Illustrator; Adobe Photoshop; Adobe inDesign;
Corel Draw; .pdf and bitmap, tiff, jpeg files.
FONTS - include all document screen and postcript fonts including any
embedded fonts in EPSs. PC fonts will be substituted with Mac fonts.
SCANS - Saved as TIFF (Mac or PC), JPEG (Maximum Quality) in CMYK format
not RGB to at least 300dpi min. Lineart bitmap scans should be 1000dpi
at 100% size. If EPS, 'jpeg preview' option should not be ticked
DTP DOCUMENTS - Serif PagePlus, Publisher, Pagemaker
PROOFS - Inkjet proofs for general jobbing work or proof prints from the
Epson 5000.
